Blasphemous 2 issue. (Should have included this in the title but cannot edit it. Great.)

Game start up fine, intro play fine, game detect my controller (a XBOX controller)...

And then when I try to pick up a weapon in the second room, the game immediately and unavoidably crashes during the pick-up animation.

I also noticed that the A button, while it allow me to select things in the menu, don't allow me to jump.

Obviously, the game is unplayable to me in its current state. Help?

If you haven't already try contacting the developer and make them aware of the problem so they can patch it.

Also, if you have other controllers or devices plugged into your computer try disconnecting all of them except the controller you are trying to use.
