We now have a answer, on the Kickstarter lastest news...

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/828401966/blasphemous-dark-and-brutal-2d-non-linear-platform/posts/2957269

"Hi, unfortunately we won't be able to support macOS/Linux on GOG. Please reach us privately via message to look for a solution that suits you."

and

"Each PC store we release in requires it's own binaries, and each set of binaries requires it's own QA process of approval. Being a small team, we are tightly limited by the capacity of our QA team, which already needs to approve each platform one by one. Currently, we are supporting nine platforms, and that is now topping our capacity.

To support our commitment to continue adding content to the game via Free DLC, we cannot put more resources on the approval and QA process due to additional platforms. Since, we had to make the difficult choice of keeping the number of supported platforms as it is right now, and offer GoG Linux & Mac users to migrate to any of the other supported platforms."

They don't deserve our money.
Thanks for the link @Cyril79.

Although I don't think this will change "The Game Kitchen"'s plans, I've added a Community Wishlist entry to ask for this port [1].

[1] Check for "blasphemous_add_linux_version"
this honestly doesn't make sense as both mac and linux versions are on steam, i dont see how it would be difficult to put the drm free version out on here as well.
This is so disappointing. I came here to see if someone had asked for a Linux version for GoG, since a Steam Linux version exists.

The only reason I could see that the Steam and GoG binaries would be different would be the code needed to do achievements on Steam being there and having to remove that. Which they've already got a version that has those alterations in the Windows version that is already on GoG.

I suspect it has to do with how their workflow is set up with some external QA team, Honestly it feels like a bunch of BS to me. If they were gonna do a launch of GoG, they should have been prepared to launch on all the platforms they support for Steam.

I hope they eventually consider releasing to Mac/Linux on GoG, once the DLCs and such are finished.
I've jumped here as it's now a great discount available, but after reading the posts above I'd rather pass...
Perhaps @knightshousegames is right and they'll reconsider the decision in the future.
I bought this game here expecting there would be a Linux version like there is on Steam. Very dissapointing to learn that's not the case. I refunded the game as a result.

Same for me. Do not buy the GOG version if you want to run it on Steam deck. There goes my evening :-(
There might be the solution. Heroic game launcher. It is not easy to get things working, but in theory this is much simpler than configuration of wine from scratch by yourself. I can not get blasphemous from gog.com get working anyway, no matter how hard I try.

I can not see proton experimental package in Heroic. wiki of Heroic is kind of outdated. solutions shown on wiki does not match what we can see on screen in current relase of heroic.

I does not have discord account, so I can not let know people from heroic team about my issues. But maybe some of us from this thread will be able to figure out how to make blasphemous working in heroic? I bough blasphemous digital deluxe at gig.com in price of stabdalone version of that game on steam. In both cases I bought this gem for almost nothing.

If someone figure out how to make blasphemous working in heroic, please, please, do not leave us alone, please share with us the sokution. Also i can paste my boot log from heroic if someone will.
I have a Steam Deck, and I managed to play GOG's Blasphemous on it, using the heroic games launcher. This is the only way to run Gog games on the steam deck. Since it's OS is a linux, I think Heroic games launcher should work to run Blasphemous.

What settings did you use? The game loads up, i hit play After the quote pops up on the screen, the screen goes blank.

Sorry for late reply. I had your problem too, the vanilla proton of the steam deck has trouble executing the cutscenes for this game right now. To fix that, you have to use a custom wine proton version.

So in the heroic games launcher, first, you have to download a custom wine version. In heroic game manager, on the left, there are the diufferent tabs. One is wine manager. There are a Wine-GE list of wine versions. Pick one to download, I picked the latest one : Wine-GE-Proton7-34.
Then on the blasphemous library, there is a gear icon or option button. Go there, there will be a Wine version list, select the Wine-GE-Proton you downloaded.
Select also the Instal/Update DXVK option below. It should now work.
Hope this helps. Since I have not my setup in english, I tried to give you the best translation I could.

Thanks, @Angelfox51, it works!

Wine Manager -> Wine-GE -> install Wine-GE-Proton7-37, no need to install .NET/Mono while first run and checkflags DXVK and VKD3D turned on by default (tried to turn it off, the game also works).

Seems this also works for Steam launcher, if added shortcut to Steam (in Heroic game settings -> Add Shortcut to Steam), the game runs without any special settings in Steam launcer (nothing set in Settings -> Properties... -> Compatibility)
Confirmed, it is working after installing wine-ge-proton7-39. I earlier tried different packages with no results but NOW it does work. Can't tell what had to be more mature, new release of proton or heroic. Anyway it works flawlessly. Linux realese seems for me more clunky, controls does not respond so good as in wine version. Sometimes controls in the game does not respond but this is general issue of this game. However this issue occurs in any release of this game and does not appears too often. All in all - I'm hapy ovner GoG's release of blasphemous. It was worth waiting. Thank for everyone who developed solution.
Well, game itself is working using Heroic, HOWEVER game saves DOES NOT. I began to play it, made some progress and saved it. All of that works UNTIL you do not quit out of the game, afterwards get out of heroic AND then reboot or power off the system. So saves stay still until you do not power off the deck. Am I alone with that problem or someone else may reproduce it? Any solutions? I haven't mono installed. How to resolve this isssue?
