GoG's verision is 2.1 but Apogee/3D Realms version is 3.0. What is the difference, if anything?

hegyak: GoG's verision is 2.1 but Apogee/3D Realms version is 3.0. What is the difference, if anything?

v2.x
1. Menu "Ordering Info" contains 32 pages.

v3.0
1. Main menu contains price tag in the right-top corner.
2. Menu "Ordering Info" contains 14 pages.
3. There are three Planet Strike promotional images but only one of them used in menu "Ordering Info". The other two are leftovers of shareware version?
