The download doesn't appear to come with a manual and, while a kind user has been helpful enough to post a manual link, I came here hoping to just see a post on the controls you need. So, I'm adding my own post of the controls I'm aware of:
Arrow keys to move and grab.
>There are objects in the world at multiple height levels to pick up.
Ctrl to stop in place and exit map and inventory.
Hold Ctrl and press arrow keys for directional attacks.
PageUp key to enter doors.
ESC for main menu.
M for map.
I for Inventory.

Very simple control scheme, but I'm not sure I would've known to try PageUp on doors.

Thanks. I figured everything out except the PageUp key. Been stuck on the first screen for good 30 minutes before I decided to look up the controls.
