I tried it more then 15 times but I can't cross the bridge, because I'd no luck to kill the rat in the right moment.

Any hints?

Thx!

This is a particularly notorious puzzle of the game (another one is Moraji's sequence in Act 2).

Hints (sorry there are no spoiler tags so I'll try to give gradual hints):
1. The bridge is rickety and cannot withstand the weight of a rat and McCoy.
.
.
.
.
.
2. Don't kill the rat while it is on the bridge.
.
.
.
.
.
3. You can wait / lure the rat to advance so that it crosses the entire bridge to McCoy's end (left side of the screen).
.
.
.
.
.
4. McCoy can walk down to the left side of the bridge and wait there.
.
.
.
.
.
5. Kill the rat when it has completely crossed the bridge, while McCoy is waiting in the left side beside the bridge at a safe distance from the rat . Alternatively, you could kill the rat while it's on the right side but not if it's on the bridge. And if I recall correctly, there was an original bug that we may have left unfixed, whereby if you leave the screen by walking to the left exit and return, there is a high chance that the rat won't show up this time.

This source could also help.
It was really difficult for me. I always killed rat while it was on the bridge so it didn't work for me.

The way I did it is this:

1) I walk (not run) toward the exit from where the rat appears.

2)When the rat appears, I run to the side and just shoot the rat, no matter where it is (as long as you are not on the board, this should allow you to continue playing).

3) I exit and re-enter the room from the way I originally came in (once again, no running, only walking even in the room with the board). This time, the rat is gone, and it doesn't reappear from the exit, allowing me to progress.

At some point this might get fixed. This (and Moraji's bomb sequence) is considered the most notorious part of the game.
There's already a fix in place for Restored Content mode, restricted for Easy Mode, where the bridge won't break (except for the case of the rat killing McCoy on the bridge, but that case does not really matter, since.. well McCoy had died already).

Again fix will probably be either Restored Content mode only, or maybe enabled with a checkbox.

Leaving and re-entering... it works (most of the time, it's actually random if the rat will show up again, but the probability is low). I don't really like it, since it's not the intended way to resolve the rat issue, and it makes little sense. We may be able to find a solution that will be more organic to the gameplay and work better. Low priority on this though, for now.

I agree. Since it wasn't intended, a separate modification might be the best solution? Although, it can be a bit difficult to find for some players.
