Upon starting the game an error message comes up saying MEM_RESIZE_FAILED no matter what options I change... so how do I get to playing this game?

I think it is a problem with codecs and the starting video. In order to solve this issue, you must rename the "video" folder to another thing (i.e video').
The video folder is located under the "Data" directory.

If this really works, it proves my theory that it has something to do with a codec. If you now more about this, maybe you could try writing support, so they can fix the installer or something.
