I'm thinking of buying Blade of Darkness, but I remember it having some problems on newer video cards.

Namely, I couldn't see which option was highlighted in the menu, they were all black instead of one having the yellow highlight.

Is the GOG version fixed somehow?

Has anyone played it on Windows 8 64 bit on a newer NVidia video card?

Turning off your vsync, or forcing it off with your display drivers might help. Be warned, some scripted events, usually boss encounters, may lock up so you may need to switch it back to get through.

Well, I purchased it and it worke, but VSync had nothing to do with it.
It worked by selecting the opengl renderer. The textures look a bit uglier than I remember them but hey at least it's working.
Does anyone know if there are any graphics mods for it?

Changing brightness and contrast to 0 in the color tab of the video config fixed the ugly texture colors.
This is the glorious game I remembered now hehe.
