I was curious if anyone else has trouble with executing the combo with the ice sword? I hit up and down at the same time for the second sequence but it always executes North Cross instead. even when I'm 100% sure I hit Up slightly before I hit Down.

I've had the same problem before. It could be the graphics on your help screen but if you take closer notice, it's most likely out of your current level.

If I do remember that correctly, you generally pick this sword up before you can use it.

Ah! I didn't even notice the level requirement! Thank you! still a couple of levels away before I can use that combo. that said, some of the combos on this game are still a bit tough to pull off especially in combat, but I really do like how the combat system works, this game has pulled me away from my current titles the last few days.
