I do not see this in the keyboard controls. Please help!

The control is actually a little cryptic and counter-intuitive. Simply hold your "Throw" key and then hit your block key.

I finally RTFM and got it. Amazing that I still remember some of the dungeons from when this first came out. Also some of the "exploits" of terrain to beat the bosses.
