So I'm currently in "Fortress of Tell Halaf" and I'm having a situation there that feels like being softlocked. I have 0 healing potions, 400+ hp out of 1000 (level 7) and the enemies in front of me are two Minor Orcs and one Elite Orc.

The Minor Orcs are not a problem but the Elite Orc is because one lucky hit from him is enough to get me poisoned and once that happens I can't do anything to avoid dying from it because I can't heal. Am I missing something here or are healing potions the only way to get rid of the poison effect and if that's the case: where are those damn things?

As far as I remember potions and leveling up are the only way to stop poison. Keep a few in inventory is my only (and lame) suggestion.

That's a big problem. I don't have any left and there are no potions laying around anywhere. Looks like I have no choise and need to restart the whole level again. Why there is no real antidote for the poison effect is beyond me. Feels like a really bad decision to not have any placed on the level when you have to deal with multiple enemies that are able to poison you with a single hit.
If I am not mistaken, mushrooms can be used as an antidote. Yet honestly, I don`t remember if there were any of these at this level.

Seems to me you could make good use of your blocking/dodging abilities, I know it may sound lame but it is actually factible to avoid being hit at all...
In this game you have to ration your potions very carefully. This means that you often will play with health well below half. Travel rations and any potion will stop poison. As does the ghost amulet, but it can be found only in Tombs of Ephyra. Your best bet is to restart the level and keep a potion for that moment. But overall poison doesn't do that much damage and you can survive it, unless you are really low on health.

I didn't restart the level but I still managed to get past that one Elite Orc now. I did a little forward + backwards dance with him. Took a few minutes but was a save way to not get hit while taking his health down. Now I'm in the next level where you encounter walking skeletons for the first time.

The poison will stop draining your health on its own, eventually. At 400 HP, you might be able to survive a single hit, but probably not two.
