Ok, I'm gonna need a LOT of help with this one.
So, first things first, let's start with my setup. I have a 3080 and dual monitor, the main one ultrawide at 2560x1080, the secondary regular 16:9 at 1920x1080.
So, first thing I try is, obviously, trying to run the game out of the bat, with the default settings. I get a black screen on my primary monitor and it won't let me alt+tab, ctrl+alt+supr or any other way out of it besides hard rebooting (has happened to me with other old games, still can't figure out why.
After rebooting I tried again to make sure it was not a first launch thing, but now the game won't launch from galaxy or the blade\bin\bin executable, it launches the blade.exe process, stays there for a second and then closes.
So I try the classic one instead, launch the nglide configurator, pick a 1920x1080 resolution and launch the game. The intro and 3dfx logo play normally, but the loading bar shows only on the upper left corner (like a quarter) of the screen and the menu appears on the very corner with all options cramped together one on top of the other (see attached image)
I've tried to pick every combination of video renderer, resolution, aspect ratio... and the problem stays the same (only thing changing is the smoothness of the GeForce Experience overlay)
i'm gonna try to get it to it launch on the 16:9 monitor to see if it helps, but in the meantime can anyone provide some clue as to how to fix it (GOG new version or classic, at this point I just wanna play through the game again)
