Greetings,

having bought both Blackhole and the Complete Edition Upgrade, I find a Game Download version 2.0.0.3 of 1.1 GB and a DLC Download version 2.0.0.2 (The version numbers are from the resp. file names of the Linux version.)

Do I need the apparently older DLC Download or is it obsolete by now? There is no Changelog about older versions it could be meant for.

Thanks for any enlightenment

Hello there! I am so sorry to answering on this question after such time. Problem is, that I never knew, there are these discussion threads! We will try to make things right.

DLC Download is required to activate internal DLC system. Because the Steam version of the game has this installed automatically, I think on GOG you need to download small package and install it in order to access all content. This is not procedure we are proud of, but it was only way how to activate everything.

You only need the newest version. But I am not sure from where the 2.0.0.3 and 2.0.0.2 is coming from. Our game version on GOG is now at 1.7

We will look into it. Please, give us little more time on this.

Thanks for addressing the issue.

I was debating whether I should wait for clarification or just play the game (probably a bit of OCD there). I'm glad I waited.

I really loved the intro. The humor and overall feel of the game was right up my alley. Looking forward to play the game with all the bells and whistles from the DLC.

Thanks for making it.

EDIT: I downloaded the game and the DLC again. They are "gog_blackhole_2.0.0.3.sh" for the main game and "gog_blackhole_complete_edition_upgrade_2.0.0.2.sh" for the DLC.

When I try to install the DLC in the main game directory, it says that it is probably not the right game directory. The game will still run afterwards, but there are no DLC indication in the main page (I guess depending on the design, that may or may not be normal).

If memory serves, it was also like that when I asked the question.

I assume the issue is still being addressed. I'll wait for further feedback.

2.0.0.2 / 2.0.0.3 version numbers are GOG internal previous numbering scheme, that does not directly re-use the real game version number.
More recent Linux installers use a new numbering scheme including the game version number, so it should be easier to understand.

They do in the listing, but not in the installer file names when you download them. Guess I'll try again next weekend and see if they made progress.
