I already wrote this in the sticky for the 1.5 Patch, but to make it easier for other users to find this and for being able to mark the problem as solved in the future I'm opening a new thread for it.

I just purchased this and have trouble installing both the patch AND the DLC.
Can you please help me get the patch and DLC installed correctly?

DLC installers says:
"This version of core game is not supported.
Please update your version with the latest patch from GOG. "

While the patcher version 1.5 crashes in the process of patching.

I can quote the whole thing if necessary, but I don't think it is, at this point.


I just downloaded all the files yesterday and am really looking forward to playing this game.
I started playing in the meantime, but having read other threads concerning incompatible savegames after a patch I'm concerned I might lose too much of my progress so I want to get all the installation stuff done before I can enjoy this.

Yep, bought the special edition but the patch kept freezing. When it did go through, the above mentioned string of errors.

The patch freezing is kind of natural - you just have to let it process long enough and it goes through - but that said, I'm getting the same issue, and put in a Support ticket for it. Hopefully they get back to me before I have to leave for work, and hopefully they'll mention something in this thread as well.

I noticed when trying to troubleshoot this last night that the Blackguards' site has an announcement for Patch 1.6, so maybe that's the issue now?

Well, I've had no contact back from them yet. Anyone else?

same problem here. tried it a few times. downloaded the patch afew times. with and without downloader. nothing works. and without the patch, you can´t install the dlc

This works....just be very patient with the patch, it's not frozen it will finish.

worked. Patch took near to half an hour

i have the same problem did try do to the solved part but its not working why i am unsure
and i cant run the dlc becase the game will not update :(

did also mark both of the too installed i cant do that

and this ticket here is not solved since it does not say how you do it

this what they say too me and it did help me it is installed :)

now i did install the dlc as well no problem :)

#####The 1.5 is the latest GOG version, it has the same contents as the 1.6 patch for the standalone version.

The patch has to operate on large files and it can take more than 10 minutes for some of them, so it might appear the the patch is not doing anything during that time. Please try leaving the patch running for 20 minutes and check if it progress increases.#####
