I've been waiting for this to take a permanent price break before buying it because I hear it's not worth it however there's been something I've noticed while watching it.
I see patches for this game seem to come out rather slow on GOG; v1.5 was announced just a short time ago on here however I see v1.6 patch is available from http://www.blackguards-game.com/patches/
So I'm wondering... are the patches marked for the "noDRM" edition on their official site compatible with the GOG edition of the game?

You can try it, but it's best to wait for GOG patch. ;)
An update as I had one person private message me over this topic.

Unfortunately triock's response is not valid because he did not correctly (or at all?) read the opening post.
His response of "you can always try" is not valid as, as indicated in the opening post, I did (do) not own the game on GOG. I was waiting for a price break before purchasing & the ability to use the developer's or publisher's patches, which are released much faster then GOG released ones, on the GOG edition would also effect my purchase decision.

Because of reviews indicating the game is over priced for the quality & the fact that GOG is tardy in releasing patches for it I instead purchased the game, as part of a bundle on sale with other Dark Eye (adventure) games, on Steam where it is kept current with the latest patches.

As such I do not have an answer for this topic & consider the topic unresolved at present time.
Yeah, I'm into the game and I would buy the DLC, but the patch problem....

*****

Well, I managed to figure it out, so I can quit whining....for now ;).
