Hi All,
Is there some trick to defeating the lily and the druid tree? My first attempt was a disaster because the tree seemed immune to the various damage attacks I tried on him (bashing and magic, I think piercing didn't work either). So, i thought maybe attacking the lily was the way to go. But my two melee fighters didn't do much damage between just missing (60% chance to hit for some reason, maybe the poison was weakening them) and also falling down a lot.

My archers (of which only one is mainly an archer, the others are the witch and mage) didn't hit it much either.

I have levelled up the "eliminate enchantments" spell since the last attempt so that might help.

is the best strategy just to have one guy keep the tree occupied while everyone else pumps arrows at the lily (and dispels and heals as necessary)? Or is there some sort of trick that I'm missing? Is the lily immune to poison?

Some shortcuts

I.You can't harm the tree at all for storyreasons..you will find out after the fight :)
So you have tp block or kite him that he don't disturb you.

II.Dispelling the charm is useless, if no one is charmed the lily get a "free action" to charm someone at the beginning at the next round. Aside from this...normaly it's not bad if someone is charmed because he will move to the iliy without being attacked by the tentacles.

III.Don't fight the tentacles, they just apear again.

IV.If you attack the lily with ranged or melee...you have a fixed miss-chance because of the "duplicatus-buff" of the lily.
Melee and ranged-attacks of buffed PC's are still you're best way to kill the lily, to asist your melee-pc's you can
use fortifex to block hexes next to them, avoiding some of the tentaclesspawns.

On difficult fights, try to use different ammos for your ranged fighters. This will often bypass the enemies' immunities. For example, I kinda remember flaming arrows were pretty effective against the lilly.

And yes, you have to focus on the lilly. Try to protect your melee fighters against the "bashing down" attacks of the tentacles (either by having these attacks miss entirely, or by augmenting their resistance to the knockback/knockdown effect). If you manage to keep 2 melee fighters going at it for a few rounds, it should go down quick.
