I just finished the battle where you break the mercenaries out of prison, and I'm trying to talk to everyone in camp. The thing is, though, that it seems I'm only allowed to talk to people about one subject. For example, I talked to Naurim and asked him about Zurbaran. After he gave his response, the dialogue closed, and I can't talk to him again. The icon for it is gone, and trying to click on him anyway doesn't do anything. I highly doubt this is intended behavior, so what's the problem?
Well, after playing the game for a while and looking up a few walkthroughs on Youtube, it seems that this actually is the intended behavior. It looks like this is the game's method of pacing the dialogue. Instead of having more dialogue options appear as the game goes on, they decided to make them all available from the start and only let you choose one at a time, letting you choose another one after you make some progress (i.e. complete a battle). I've never seen an RPG do dialogue this way, and I can't say I'm a fan of it, but at least I know the game's not broken somehow.
