Hi. Original KS backer here, finally through the game would be "mature" enough to give it a shot. BUT, I can't start it. When I click "Play" in GOG Galaxy (or run the shortcut in the game dir), a splash with a progress bar appears for approx 0.5 seconds, then goes away. Nothing more. Any idea where I should go for support?

EDIT: A Verify/Repair fixed the issue. Would delete the post, but can't find any way.

Good to know that i can finally buy this game.
Hello
Unfortunately I have the same problem. The game doesn't launch. There's no error message or loading symbol. Nothing happens when I click on play.
I tried it first without GOG Galaxy, then I reinstalled the games using GOG Galaxy. In both cases I also tried to run the game as administrator.

I have an Intel processor, so I tried the workaround described here:

https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019775837-Game-does-not-launch-Intel-10th-gen-CPU-or-newer?product=gog

Same problem. Then I also tried Verify/Repair in Gog Galaxy. The games still doesn't work. Any idea what else I could try? I was realy looking forward to this game.

Hello,

Sorry to hear about the inconvenience you're experiencing. Could you try to send the following files to developers? Not all of them may exist:
1. From the game’s main folder, these files: version.txt, log.txt, log_old.txt, fatalerrorlog.txt
(You can open the main folder from the Steam client by right-clicking the game, then clicking “Manage” and then “Browse local files”).)
2. From the game’s Windows APPDATA folder, player.log és player_prev.log (you can open your system AppData folder by typing %APPDATA% after pressing the Windows button on your keyboard; then navigate to LocalLow\GrapeOcean\BlackGeyser)
3. Finally, from the data subfolder of the game (this is within the AppData of the game), developers will need the options file (it is called “options”) and preferably your full savegames folder in a compressed zip file. If it’s too large, your most recent couple of savegames is okay too.

The email address is support [at] grapeocean [dot] com.
I'm sorry, but I'm not able to find any of the files you mentioned except for version.txt.
Obviously I don't have any saved games and my APPDATA folder doesn't have a folder called LocalLow.

Edit: I was able to find Locallow, but since I wasn't able to launch the game I don't have a player log.

What operating system do you use? Windows, Mac OS, or Linux?

Also, are you sure that an antivirus or similar software does not interfere?

I have Windows 11 64 bit,
I tried turning off my antivirus and used compatibility mode for different windows versions. Still doesn't work.
Could you paste or send the content of the version.txt?
v1.2.62 - Update 30
It might be worth trying to skip the Launcher and run the application directly. This can be set in the GOG Galaxy Client. The detailed steps are as follows (see the attached images as well):

1. Open GOG Galaxy Client and select Black Geyser
2. Go to More / Manage Installation / Configure: [step 1]
3. Duplicate the default Launch Parameter: [step 2]
4. Add -nolauncher to the arguments and change the label: [step 3]
5. Launch the game without the Launcher: [step 4]

Thanks a lot. I worked. :)
Glad to hear.

To help fixing the issue, could you tell us what language your operating system is set to, and what is the installation path of the game?
My operation system is german.

C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Black Geyser Couriers of Darkness
Thank you.
