Tried uninstalling the game, and installing the new 2.5 version (offline installers).
Gives me black screen, can't do anything to get it started.
Luckily I had the old 2.0 installer on disk, so I could reinstall the old one that works.

Anyone else?

Regrettably I only have an even older version (1.6) as backup, but at least that one works.

same here, black screen with the mouse pointer only.
it worked fine when version 1.6, and I still have the bin file stored, but I lost the setup.exe file.

Just bought this and never get it to run because of this issue. There are a few solutions by the developer but nothing works for me.
Obviously I don't have an older installer somewhere.

Same problem on windows 7 after purchase. Someone on Steam had said to either install a specific VC Microsoft redistributable which i did or to use a skip file. But I already got that VC according to the install file; a newer version. So it's still black on startup.

Same problem here on laptop with Radeon 680M GPU, fan spinning fast and black screen with mouse pointer only.

I tried a few other Computers in the meantime and it's working nowhere.
Could the dev please just upload the 2.0 version as an addition until this is fixed?

Same for me too. I tried creating skip.json and installing vcredist 2015 but still suffering from the issue.
