I was pretty disappointed with the remastered bioshock on Steam, I can't understand why but the sound seems to be really weird, like there's no crossfade between audio channels no matter how I try to fiddle with the settings; for example when I reload the SMG the sound of putting the new drum only seems to come from the left speaker while pulling back the charging handle only seems to come through on the right side.

That might sound like nitpicking, and maybe it is, but it totally prevented me from enjoying the game.

Anyone noticed any improvements over the steam version of the game, related to the sound or really anything else? Or is gog just selling the same version.
While I don't have first hand experience with BioShock Remastered, there appears to be a mod that might help with audio issues that I found on PC Gaming Wiki.
