So Bioshock 2 is constantly crashing on me and I was hoping you guys might have some ideas about what to do.

So, the crash comes without warning and will happen randomly. I've tried going through the gamut of troubleshooting. Updating Direct X, running as administrator, deleting old saves. I haven't found a permanent fix.

I don't think it's related to a memory issue.

Just wondering if anyone's had any success with troubleshooting this thing.

A lot of these random crashes are instability related bugs (and even save-game corruption) newly introduced and specific to the Remasters that still haven't been fixed (even on the Steam versions as can be seen on the discussion forums and low "Mixed" rating over there ). All you can do is what everyone else is doing and either wait for GOG to eventually get the "Classic" (ordinary) versions to be released here, or refund it here and buy it on Steam where the Classic versions are already released. Why GOG didn't make sure to get them from day one given the clearly visible issues is beyond me...

Has anyone else found a solution to the crashing problem? I've tried all of the configuration options listed at this site, but nothing has worked.

Any update on this? The game seems to freeze at random intervals.
