Hi there,

did anyone archieved the installation of Biing 2 on Llinux with wine?
The setup starts with no problems, but after some steps, the boxes are flickering and i'm unable to choose or select next.
I can only kill wine then.

Any ideas?

I tested serveral Wine versions and Wine GE
Maybe I need to install something with winetricks, but i can't imagine what.

Sorry, can't help you here.

But I remember playing inside virtualbox with Win98 installed back in the day, and even there part of the UI was broken.
This might not be helpful, but including here just in case some info can be gleaned from it.

The Windows installer (not in Wine, just directly in Windows) will not load. It flags Microsoft Defender as a threat.

Did you ever get this working? I am facing the same issue.
Hi there,
I'm also experiencing the same issue. Would it be possible for the boffins at GOG to create a standard GOG installer? That way we might have a chance to get it running. Just out of curiosity has anyone actually played it on on a Windows PC? How is it?
Not having bought BIING!2 when it was released is one of my biggest gaming regrets. So I was really hoping to get this baby to run and exorcise that ghost!
Best,
WR
The Biing2-Setup uses - like the most Setups on GOG - the installer "Inno Setup".

So luckily the /SILENT-Mode works and you can install the game with this command:
wine SetupBiing2GOG.exe /SILENT

But there are some other graphical flaws in the game. First you should set the display in the configuration (B2_CONFIG.exe) to fullscreen (Vollbild).

Edit:
You can change the target directory with the parameter /DIR="$FULLPATH":
wine SetupBiing2GOG.exe /SILENT /DIR="c:\biing2"

Thank you!
I created a bottle and run the setup in silent mode there. Did the configuration and started the game finally. There was a little error with no message when i started. I clicked it away, seems fine i guess...
