The buttons in the dialog box after death do not react to clicks - have to quit game and reload instead. (Game running on Debian 11).

I have the same problem as well (also on Debian). Sure, I can X out the game, relaunch and load, but it is a bit annoying.

It also happens on Arch linux, so I'm assuming it's a problem with the Linux version in general.
edit: it worked once when running the binary with "--verbose" (even though that didn't seem to do anything), then I tried it again and it still had the problem. I think the interface on the death screen works when it wants to, which is not very often.
Windows death screen works fine though.

Same here, on Kubuntu 20.04.x. Also i had one random crash at the beach, while one of the giant walked thru the screen. Looking on the posts (dates) of the other guys in here, i'm guessing, there will not come an fix/update for this... Which is... kinda sad... :-(
On Manjaro here, same thing; I was just testing the game, it autosaved, I walked into a deathtrap and neither the load or quit buttons work.

I also did some searching and found the same complaint on the Steam forums for Linux/SteamDeck and the dev replying to it.

From 21-Feb-2023
"Thanks for pointing that out! I'll have to take care of that for the next update, but since I am not the developer of the engine, I have no clue why this happens so far! I'll see what I can do!"

I had the same problem in Xubuntu 20.04

For those that don't know, Owlsgard runs on Adventure Game Studio
What I ended up doing is brutally swapping the runners (ags32 and ags64) for their newest version directly from the AGS website. Never had any more problems.

Sorry for the late reply.
