From what I can tell about the steam version, is that its broken and people can't get it working right. I'm assuming thsi one is fine?

It's fine mostly, might take a bit of tweaking to get working perfectly, and this version doesn't have controller support.

The best thing about it is that Valve is not getting any money when you buy it here. ;)
