The player character, Jade, is the strongest selling point of this game. In video games, characters aren't often developed at all - certainly not women characters. Jade runs an orphanage, is a skilled fighter with a stick, and engages in investigative journalism in her spare time. And the character is developed emotionally as well - to her co-workers, her orphans, her relationship to the state and others.
The weakest point of this game is it's ending. It is a true "WTF?" moment. You have spent the entire game building up relationships with rebels, improving your skills, uncovering political conspiracies - and it's all thrown out at the end. I mean there is ZERO take away message from this game. I don't want to spoil it, but really unless you were just playing the game to see moving pictures you would understand why the ending is such a letdown.
