Just finished the game the other day and I was puzzled by the "Hints" option in the Game Options. I had it turned off when I started but tried turning it on when I needed a little help a couple of times during the game. However, nothing seemed to change. It didn't appear to be a separate Hint-tool but Robert also didn't really say anything special when it was turned on?

Any idea how the Hints are supposed to work? Do they even work?

IIRC it is a layered hint system that you access in the menus while playing the game.

So access the menu (Where you can e.g. see your inventory) and the hint thing is in there somewhere; It gives increasingly spoilery hints as you click down until it just tells you what to do.

Ok thanks. I'll look out for it on my second playthrough. =)
