I played this game once and managed to save in slots 1 and 2 via the F5 menu however I have tried to play for a second time and I am unable to save games. Firstly a periodic error comes up saying "unable to auto save" and secondly, when I try to save manually, "unable to save".
I was able to load my save game files though so I've got no idea what the problem is.

Just as a thought, you don't have the folders where the saves go to marked as read only, do you?
