It would be nice if Beneath a Steel Sky would be updated with the new version, since the new version fixes the speed bugs (previously, the game was kinda too fast).
I tried and it works.
Hmm, I don't see the speed to be a problem in the game at all, it can be set in the menu (F5 in-game).
Does this clarify? Or am I not following your problem at all :)

At normal speed, the game acted as if it was set to fast (and the lip movements (especially at the ending) were way too fast). Now, it has been corrected.

How has it been corrected? Do you mean it is corrected if you play the game under the new version of Scummvm? Or is there a new installer for BASS? Or does it just work correctly if played from the original installation of BASS from GOG?
I'm sorry. I'm just confused by what you mean.

I tried it with the GOG version (replaced the old scummvm files with with new version). It also says so in their change log.
