I recently downloaded BASS from GOG, and noticed two things that are missing. First, it is running in DOSBox, not SCUMMVM. Why is that? Second, when I downloaded SCUMMVM to run it, it recognizes it as the floppy version with no voices. Did I miss something? Why are there no voices?

How recently did you download it? Only GOG made a mistake when updating the installer and put the floppy disc version up which uses DOSBox. After this was pointed out (see the What did just update? thread) they then replaced it again so that it was back to CD version running in SCUMMVM. So I'd suggest downloading the game again and see if you get the CD version.

EDIT: Here is the post from GOG when they corrected it. It was dated April 8th.
