So I'm completely stuck and can't advance at all. Giving up and consulting a walkthrough, I'm supposed to be able to get the password to the Kettle courtyard from Bra Bones in Witherberg... except that I already talked to him, he gave me no password, and now I can't talk to him anymore.

I'm on an older version of the game I think, but infuriatingly, I can't even find the version number anywhere.

Is this broken? Is there any way to recover?

I loved Stasis and Cayne both... great games combined with high customer service gets you a customer for life.

Unfortunately, if the Mongrel Fisherman is the fellow on the overlook bridge, and I assume he is since he's fishing and all, I've already spoken to him and there is no option to speak to him further. It's a constant source of difficulty with the interface - you lose the names and options to interact once done. My PDA doesn't have a record of the conversation I had with him so I have no way to access his name or what he said there, either.

I also have no "To Do" function as I began playing a few months ago and was not on 1.0.5.0, but I can't find a version number available anywhere.

I'll try updating the game from the GOG offline installers and see if that fixes anything.

Updated the game files to the latest version, and both characters (Bra Bones and the Mongrel Fisherman) still cannot be interacted with.

I did find the new "To Do" menu on the PDA, but the only thing it says is "I must explore..."

haha I suck, took me forever to find the save game files. Finally got it and it's on its way.
