Sorry if noob question but assumed I would see in when i purchased the game but dont see anything to tell me when I will be able to install the game or a timer letting me know when to expect it. Thanks

Provided that you pre-ordered the game:
You can see a timer when using a web browser, not GoG Galaxy. Go to your library and click on Battletech. You will then see the timer. Currently it say 4 days 10 hours 30 minutes till release.

Timer says approx. 19:09 h.
