Not quite sure I understand your question. 1.8.1 patch was pushed out to us last month.

if you have off line installers then no there isn't becaue 1.8.0 and 1.8.1 are not patchable... you have to uninstall 1.8 then install 1.8.1
if you use the galaxy install this is automatic
Yeah, that's exactly it.

If you don't want to use Galaxy, which is "optional", you're either stuck with 1.8.0 or have to download again the whole game. Another way to (not so gently) nudge people towards Galaxy.

If GOG is a long time in putting up an offline patch, just fill out a support request and you will probably get it in a few business days.
