Fan of battletech for years and I wasted lots of time paying the original mechwarrior on a dial up modem.
Unforntunatly the game does not work on a Macbook pro.

Game runs through intro, setting up character, coronation day screen, and locks up on "prepping for combat screen". When in skirmish mode can select mechs and once again locks up on "prepping for combat screen"

Macbook pro running I5, 8mb RAM and High Sierra.

Anyone successful in running the game on a MacBook?
The Windows version apprently has some problems with permissions. It is possible that permissions could be the source of some issues for the OS X version as well. Unfortunately I do not have a solution for you, just this bit of information. You could try fixing permissions but I do not know if it would help at all or not since it seems like a bug within the game software.

The game does not work on integrated graphics, and as far as I know all MacBook pros have integrated graphics, using Intel graphics. Your system would be significantly below system specs, and using unsupported graphics card.

I actually put the game on my laptop because I couldn't get enough of it and have been able to play with Intel HD 4000. It runs anywhere between 4-12fps, but it runs :P

Actually made it to the Argo mission on integrated. So it works, just extremely poorly.

Running Macbook Pro and pre-ordered Just after midnight on the 24th. Everything working like a charm. Sometimes it seems to take a while to load and I had one instance of where it locked up after a mission and I backed out sending a mech to storage. Had to actually replay the mission. Other than that, been working just fine. I'm running High Sierra version 10.13.4, Intel Core i7 at 2.5GHz, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 with AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2048MB
Maybe the problem is lack of RAM. I assume that the OP has 8G ram rather than the 8M that he claimed.
