One of the new optional rules in Battletech denotes that if your mech is destroyed in the centre torso your mech is entirely gone, can`t even be salvaged. I like this. It basically means the powerplant exploded catastrophically, like a ship hit by a shell in its lower deck ammo storage, pretty much destroying everything.
One problem: in game, you don`t see any graphical representation of this. There`s no large explosion on the mech. As it is now, it looks like the mech is pretty much ok for salvage.
This explosion animation is needed. I hope the Devs will work on added this in.
By the way, has anyone found out if the new optional `incapacitated` rules means your actual character that represents you can die now, or is he exempt?
