Hello BT fans,

I never really post, however for this....I must say I feel the NEED. This is will be a simple as possiable.

Core should have had most of what Rogue tech offers. This game was broken at launch PERIOD.

Love ths concept just sad after what we all have seen. The fans are at loss and mostly feel left out. Facts are just because you back a game i guess doesn't get you access to tell the devlopers on what BT really is.

Devlopers should have listened to the backers. Period

Did you back it with $40 or $40,000,000. Because one gets you a game and the other gets you a voice and piece of the action.

To be honest, micro-funding a game before it comes out is just like buying a lottery ticket. The exact same "hopes and dreams" load of crap that is a sucker bet in the long run.

I'm just glad you didn't take my comment as a personal attack!

I actually really like the game, but my memory of the BT universe ended in 3025. I still have very fond memories of playing the "The Crescent Hawks Inception". Yes, I was also playing the original box set back in the late 80's. Even went to my very first gaming convention to play BT where I won a 20 person free for all with a Hunchback. :)

Is RogueTech cool? Yes, definitely! But it has way too much stuff for someone not versed in the lore (imho). For a person off the street or geezer like me, the base game is enough.

Btw, I'm fairly certain the "we don't support mods" wink, wink, nudge, nudge is what they have to do to avoid getting sued by good ol' Harmony Gold of Robotech fame...

Crescent Hawk's Inception - my first BT game too. I think I played it through a couple of times over the years, once not that long ago actually.

I also had Crescent Hawk's Revenge - which was a mission-based RTS, where you could control multiple lances of mechs plus occasionally vehicle support too. It was damn hard, but was innovative for the time. I just wish that this BATTLETECH game had the ability to control multiple lances - feels so limiting with only four mechs max, especially since we can have 18 mechs on standby concurrently...

Sorry for the late reply, Im to old to care if someone attacks me on a fourm lol. But i didn't to begin with I read it as you just posting how you felt is all just like i did. Yes I play table top MW/BT since I was very young. Mainly MW2 I have all the updated rules like Tact OPS/Techmanual etc etc...but perfer the time lines from about 3045+ just because I like the relationship that happens between kurita and Davion....Lio has always been a favorit just because hes well...nuts lol. but hey they say that about Kat and Marik as well!....Anyways RT is sadly still inspired by hardcore players <which is not a bad thing> just a style I don't play. I just wish those thing I mentioned should have made it into the CORE of BT as the backers told HB to include even the CO-OP and Multiplayer...but like normal big company wants ot make it THERE own with twists and tsadly IMO this is the bi-product of what you get.

Sorry for the rant...#rant over..lol
