How do I add bays to my dropship, or increase rate of repair/refit, or medical/healing?

Upgrades become available after you get access to the Argo via the storyline missions. The Leopard dropship cannot be upgraded due to being too small.

My priority is always a second mech bay. 900k is a little bit pricey, but consider this as an insurance - you can always keep double version of your favourite mechs.
Simple maths: basic pod can contain up to 8 pilots - this is 2 full lance crews, but the first level of mech bay stores only 5 mechs - this is one full lance plus one extra mech. So if you don't want to stuck on side contracts repairing your mechs it's better to get second mech bay ASAP.

It's a little confusing, because they talk about bay upgrades, and the Leopard seems to have room for two more. Wish they'd just remove that graphic if you can't upgrade it. Anyway, haven't added a bay yet, increasing my repair speed, etc. Thanks for replying!
