Has anyone found a real fix to the crazy long load times in this game? Been playing this since day 1 and I love it so much (put over 200 hours so far) but every time the long load times just take their toll and I stop playing.

I know the whole "no more than 3 saves" tip and I tried using mods that said to increase load times but ironically they did the opposite.

It's the one huge issue that keeps stopping me from playing more. Does anyone have anymore ideas/solutions?

Hello,
I don't know of a solution. This games load times are still significant even installed on a SSD. This game was poorly optimized. I still love it though.

I've kind of found a workaround. I have to have all graphics settings set to lowest to get quick load times (at least for a new fresh game), but now the game looks like a giant blurry mess :/
The game loading looks to be bottlenecked at the code level as limited CPU use during loading suggests.

Obviously, you can lighten what the code has to do by having it put less effort on memory, GPU, level setup etc as the last person suggests with low quality.

Throwing faster hardware at it will do little overall verses having better code.

But, officially, the code is likely final by now so don't expect anything to actually solve this.

In theory, a mod could. I see some have tried this previously but not seeing any current improvements here that game updates didn't already solve. Not sure if mods could do anything else there. Not looking into it further.
