Quick question, I've been playing this game since forever and on the Serpent's Path I always took Vetkin and then, after the Swan's Pool got Budo.

But, in this version of the game, when I got to the mission where you can get Budo, after the swan's pool, I found that upon reaching his small village he did not spawn. There were 2 peasant huts, 1 peasant and 1 water well.

Has anyone else encountered this issues? Is this a patch meant to make Serpent's path harder? Because compared to the difficulty level of the Dragon's path, the serpent's path is a walk in the park. Now that having or not having Budo will make a great difference, still, it's fun to park him in the rice fields together with 2-3 Fan Geisha and work those peasants till bleed, heal them and then rinse and repeat.

i remember him spawning correctly for me, the last time i did a playthrough.
i suppose there's a chance there has been a patch that messed this trigger up, but i kind of doubt it.
maybe he's only spawning after a certrain trigger has happened on the map..?

could he have been killed by the enemy before you approached him, somehow?

edit: maybe the youtube clip if of an older version of the game, apologies if that's the case. i'll check to see if i can load up that map and check for myself.

I restarted the map and ran there asap, seems like in this version of the game the wolf clan kills him really quickly, never happened to me before, oh well, doesn't matter.

It doesn't depend on the game version. Battle Realms got updated to the last 1.50q version as Winter Of The Wolf came out. GOG version is 1.50q as well.

To get Budo you need a certain order of actions:

1. You get Vetkin and geishas. No geishas= no Budo.
2. You automatically go to the Budo location and get him.
