My spec for my comp

Inter Core i-7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz 2.00GHz

Ram: 4.00GB

Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit

Video Card: GeForec GTX 460M

The problem i'm having playing battle realm started with "Kenji Scenario" after the village being raided by bandit, when my screen reaches the village area, suddenly caused massive lag spike, sometimes freeze. waiting 10 seconds it started to move again. However during battle with many units involved in one screen, Massive lag spikes always happened.

I tried playing skirmishes, when visiting new area, i got lag again, as well as when i have many units in one screen. So.....

First of all I tried searching all over the internet similar to my issue, I tried to tailor my Nvidia driver, to no avail....

Second, I tried convert from multi screen to single screen, to no avail....

Third, I tried run program on windows xp, run as administrator, everything i did, to no avail.....

I practically give up and start ranting in gog.com forum... I'm this close asking for refund from gog. but i found out that once i downloaded the game (TWICE!) from internet, ppl said its hard to get refund...

So before I address my complaint to gog.com support. I was hoping if the community have similar problem and addressed the issue? Thank you for reading

I'm really looking forward to your reply/help/complain :)

I'm not GOG, but if you can't get it working with support's help in 30 days, then you can get a refund. I can't imaging that it matters how many times you download it. Redownloading is a method of repair for some issues.

As for your issue, be sure to follow any hints in the support section. After that, contact support and work with them.

It's not officially supported for win 8, but you may have luck with it. I do not have Windows 8 to test it on right now.

i actually tested this on my win8.1 rig and it works pretty well! it did however stop responding once, while i was playing the story mode.
I have also massive lag when I see burning houses at beginning of the game, I have Radeon 9600 Pro, Pentium IV 2.0 Northwood at Gigabyte GA-8IDX mainboard and 768 MB ram and XP SP3 and 10.2 driver, I tried also 8.4 driver but I have same problem.
Hello, im using xp, and I got the same problem. This is my spec:

Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3
AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 925 Processor, MMX, 3DNow (4 CPUs), ~2.8GHz
2046MB RAM
AMD RADEON 6700

Interestingly, it seems that same bug occurs on Dragonshard (also developed by Liquid)

www.gog.com/forum/dungeons_dragons_dragonshard/really_bad_framerate_in_underworld_areas

It has the same symptom (massive lag occurs when flame or lights effect are displayed)

Any solutions will be appreciated

Hello everyone.

90% of the BR problems are caused by videocards. Mostly nVIDIA ones.

To fix this issue you have to reach nVIDIA control panel and find 3D settings tab, then set antialising to 8x + "override application" feature (in dropdown menu)

AMD: the particle system malfunctions on some AMD videocards, the issue is not really clear here. Try updating your DirectX /Videocard drivers. If that doesn't help- nothing but changing your videocard will. (Also do you have a double videocard? + Integrated one?)

Nopue, i dont have double videocard
BTW i think your're right, the only solution to stop the flame lag is by changing my amd GPU lol

Or you can try to use software rendering. I don't know if the Battle Realms have this option, but most of the old games has.

Already searching, but it seems that Battle Realms has no software rendering...
