when I try to start the game it tells me it can't find supported display mode and then it tells me the program has stopped working. How do I fix this?

Do you have multiple monitors active? If so I'd suggest disabling all secondary displays before launching the game.

That's sad that gog doesn't want to release a fix about this issue... :-(

I contacted them via support and they said they don't want to fix that just for a "minor issue"...
