seems like there's no glide exe in this incubation release or am I wrong? :\

I noticed that the GOG wrapper is called with a -directx command line option which is (probably) passed on to the game executable. So maybe there is no separate glide exe and you just need the proper command line option like -glide. Unfortunately we do not know what exactly the GOG wrapper does, so it may be that -glide will not be passed on. I didn't try it yet.

Try -3dfx with wrapper, it have worked with original EXE.
