I remember playing this on my 386, i remember the animations, but thanks to gog i don't need to remember the fun, as i can enjoy this game again!
If you are a chess master, you may not feel the same magical fun this game is all about; but for an unexperienced player, the animations add fun to chess itself making easier for a newbie to become an passionate player (even if on the real board the tower doesn't come to life to crush enemy's bishop)
