I was delighted to find Battle Chess again on the Internet as my young son has taken up chess lately and I wanted to share with him what a great game it was.
After downloading it from this site, I tried to launch it from within both Windows and a DOS window but I keep getting the "Program too big to fit in memory" error message.
I am running MS Windows XP Home Edition with 2GB of RAM. Am I doing something wrong here? Am I missing a piece of software (eg, DOS emulator or other)?
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

The version here is setup with a dos emulator already.
Be sure to start the game through the shortcuts provided

Thanks for the prompt response. Unfortunately, I still cannot start the game as I get this error message relating to program being too big to fit in memory whenever I double click on the executable which I downloaded for this game using my browser.
What am I doing wrong?

It sounds like the installer got corrupted

I redownloaded the installation program and managed to get it going.
