One problem i have with the game is that the lack of auto attack option or a "rush" command.
Basically after a while you will come across allot of week enemies that slow you down. In other games there is usually an option to speed up the fight by having an auto attack or rush option where the characters just go all out on the enemies, pummeling the into the ground (like in the Breath of Fire series).

There is also the Eartbound mechanic, where an enemy realizes that they are to week to stand up to you, so they just run and you take the EXP and coin.
Yeah, this is deffo more oldschool, more Chrono Trigger/ FF6/Phantasy Star era style.

I don't have an issue with it as I find the easier fights quite satisfyingly cathartic, esp. compared to the seriously clutch fights I've been getting into in these later dungeons! (I'm having to grind for the first time since starting the game due to enemies spamming whole-party attacks that do 400-500 in one go! When your chars have 600-700HP, this is not good! o.O)

BTW, when your chars are sufficiently high above an overworld enemy, you will just walk past them without triggering a fight (Although you have the option to fight them still; You'll only get items tho', no XP)
but... When you outlevel enemies too much (in the overworld) they won't attack you, and you can just pass through them.
