Been playing for about a month on Veteran\Veteran\Medium Funds\Ironman. It's a struggle.
Now, I'm an old school TB strategy player and also a roguelike fanatic. I know it's supposed to be tough and unforgiving, this is after all why I play this game and not one of the countless other "normal" TB strategy games. I also still love it, however I'm getting worried I may be getting to a point where I will just get too frustrated and stop playing. I have a nagging feeling that this game could simply be unbalanced regarding Ironman mode - but it's probably just me not being good enough. I hope ;)
I'd like to hear from other people who play on Ironman - what basic tips regarding survival and gittin' gud in general could you give?
At the moment I can survive a week or two, but eventually just fade out from generall attrition and lack of money, at which point a battle comes against some superior force (which still looks pretty basic to me, say "few Brigand Raiders" or the undead) and it's curtains.
