Hey all,

Thought I'd get some opinion as to what may be going on. Fresh install of Arkham Asylum GOTY on a brand new PC (built less than 3 weeks ago). I get video stutter and framerame drops on the menu screen, and once the pre-rendered movies are done and in game proper. I seem to see it with AA set to 8XQ, and when I set to 4X, it's fine; but I'm curious why it would stutter that much on an older title like this on new hardware. My specs are as follows:

intel 9900K CPU (running at stock speeds on a dark rock pro 4 cooler)
32 GB RAM
GTX 1660 Super (6GB GDDR6)
Game installed on an SSD drive
1920x1080p 60Hz monitor

Monitored temps with HWINFO, GPU-Z, all are within normal (high 20s-low 30s on idle, about 50-60 ingame on the GPU). Running not quite the latest Nvidia driver but close (457.51). No other items running in task tray.

I've heard heard this game wasn't optimized the best as a PC port, but it seems weird that I can't crank all the options to high. Any suggestions as to what may be happening?

Thanks,

Thanks for the tips on that website. That actually helped fix some other issues I had, such as the playing of the videos.

For those that care, I believe I found the fix to my issue.... I think my bluetooth Xbox One controller is the culprit. Seems like when I play the game with the controller running on BT, it lags tremendously. Its the only game I've seen it do this for, so who knows. But if I play with keyboard and mouse, it runs smooth as silk.
