Hi all,

recently picked up Arkham origins through GoG and when I exit the game, my save progress seems to delete and reset back to 0 percent. I lost about 6 hours of progress today, so before I try it again I was wondering if anyone had encountered a similar issue.

Seems weird never had a problem like that. Maybe it has something to do with the folder/file permissions where the save data is located? Also I always install my games in C:/GOG Games I don't know if the installation path has anything to do with that.
Yes I have encountered the same issue.

Playing offline installers.
Tried both external and hard drive installations with the same result/

Only successfully created one save at the start of the games open world when I manually created a save.
Any progress made/saved always reverts back to there on exiting and opening a new session.

I haven't had time to look into it further yet.

This may be due to a Windows security feature that prevents programs from accessing protected folders (including My Documents) without permission. Which is great for security, but annoying for gaming, as it blocks every game from creating saves.

However, you can allow programs through by going into the Virus & Threat Protection section of Windows Security, then Manage Ransomware Protection, and either turning off Controlled Folder Access to allow everything or clicking 'Allow an app through controlled folder access' and adding the game's executable file.

The former option means less of a headache, though is less secure, while the latter is more secure but requires you to do the same thing for every game you want to create save games in.

Anyway, if this is what's causing your issue, these instructions should hopefully help.
THanks for the advice, got around to doing this and you were absolutely right.
