Stainlessalloy: When playing Arkham Origins, during the fight with Killer Croc, he seems to glitch in and out and then the screen goes black except for controller notifications. Usually the sound cuts out first then Croc goes invisible and reappears then black screen.

I also had the same problem at the very beginning when Batman identifies the hitmen...black screen after the cinematic.
A Steam user gives the solution here and it worked very well for me:
First, to prevent future freefalls or blackscreen immobility glitches, disable DX11.
1. Find file BmEngine.ini in your Batman Arkham Origins folder: C: \ Steam \ SteamApps \ common \ Batman Arkham Origins \ SinglePlayer \ BMGame \ Config \ BmEngine.ini
2. Open file "BmEngine" with Notepad
3. Locate "AllowD3D10=False" and change False to True
4. Locate "AllowD3D11=True" and change True to False
5. Save file and restart computer
Also, disable PhysX. Main Menu, Optiions, Graphics Options. Another thing to remember is not to rush the doors; wait a moment for the textures to load on a opposite side of a wall upon entering rooms. Let us know your progress.
