Where are they? The game just launches into a 1440 x 720 or so window and the only display options available in any menu is brightness. I have searched high and low, in directories and the internet, to no avail.

You should get a launch box that opens as soon as you start the game. The second option is settings. I've included images showing what it looks like...

Just go to your game folder. Then in Binaries\Win32, click on BmLauncher.exe and it wil take you to the launcher where you can adjust the settings!

Thanks for the help, but I get no launch box on start, nor do I have a Bmlauncher.exe in the game directory or the WB Games directory of my documents folder. Repairing and verifying the installation did not add either, nor did completely reinstalling the game. Maybe GOG's GOTY Edition is messed up.

I did find a config file in Documents/WB Games/Batman Arkham City GOTY/BMGame/Config (BMEngine.ini), and was able to change a few settings that I was able to decipher, like resolution and full screen.

The file does not lay in your documents, there are only things like config and savegames. The launcher for grapichs settings is found in the directory where you've installed the game, like C:\gog\ oder C.\program files (x86) or something like that. You can use "show folder" in Galaxy if you are using the Galaxy client.

My firewall did open and asked for either private or public connection when I first ran the game.

Do you have Admin rights or maybe your firewall or anti-virus is blocking files from being installed correctly?

Path to follow : This PC \ OS (C:) \ Program Files (x86) \ GOG Galaxy \ Games \ Batman Arkham City \ Binaries \ Win32 \ BmLauncher

Click on the Arkham City (mine is the GOTY ed.) and then to the right of the PLAY button, click it and go to "additional executables" and it will allow to to configure lots of things before launching the game.
