I was tired and messed up the title, but I can't change it. I meant to say "Hide the Hud in Bastion". Anyway, I found a solution so I'm editing this post.

Start Bastion.

At the main menu, press: Ctrl+Shift+D (this will enable debug mode. That key combination only works on the main menu).

Then, in game press F12 to toggle the hud on / off.
