I've come across this reference (cow came down with a pig) a couple of times in the game and have no idea what it is supposed to mean. I think it is something that has been lost in translation - does anyone have any idea? Thanks.

I guess it means the cow was born from a pig(?)
or the cow gave birth a pig

Yes, that makes sense especially as later on there is another reference which says "This morning at the farmstead of Jan Gray the cow came down with a pig in front of six witnesses!"

Thanks.

Yes. There are numerous typos and strange turns-of-phrase. The translation is over-all good, but was not done by someone who REALLY understands English. I should try the German. I am extremely fluent in it. I'm just glad that the Russians, unlike the Americans, see fit to translate their games into English. Russia is also a large market for games, and the Americans slit their own throats by allowing politics to influence their business decisions.

I assumed the phrase meant they had lain together, but ERISS' suggestion seems more sensible. Or, since it reads "a cow came down with a pig" perhaps it was meant the other way 'round.
